3/4" Natural Birch Plywood is a versatile "cabinet grade" hardwood plywood. It is used most often due to its light, even color and tight grain. Birch Plywood characteristics make is ideal for a finish panel. it looks great stained, with a clear finish, is an excellent substrate for paint.
Birch plywood comes in many different grades and prices vary widely depending on the grade you may be looking at. Below are the grade specifications for the birch plywood we sell.
Face grades available are A-D. A being the highest, D being the lowest.
Back grade available 1-4. 1 being the highest, 4 being the lowest.
Grade - B2 (This is the 2nd grade is hardwood plywood and may have some blemishes. This is most commonly used for painted finishes, however some people enjoy the character and use the less expensive grade for stained finished as well ).
Face Veneer - RC WPF "Rotary cut / whole piece face" (This means one whole piece veneer covering the panel. This will have no seems. The veneer is peeled of the log like a roll of paper towels).
Panel Core - Veneer Core (The core of the panel is made of layered veneers as opposed to solid boards. This makes the panel stable. This is also the most common type of plywood core)
